Palma Sola Park is one of the oldest communities in Manatee County having first been developed in the early years of the 20th century.

We are just a mile south of the Village of Palma Sola that was first settled in 1868 by James Warner from Springfield, Massachusetts.

The name Palma Sola came from the existence of a tall, solitary palm tree that stood on nearby Snead Island that was used to guide boats to the town from across the Manatee River.

The location is highly desirable because it is situated between the Manatee causeway and Cortez Avenue both of which lead to the Anna Maria Island beaches

We are just minutes away from the Robinson Preserve and the Ungarelli Preserve.

Palma Sola Park includes the Palma Sola Bay Yacht Club and five Manatee County parks:
-
Portosueno Park,
-
Rose Park,
-
Seville Park,
-
Senrab Park, and
-
Palma Sola Scenic Highway Park.

Palma Sola Park is bordered
-
on the north by Manatee Avenue,
-
on the east by 75th Street,
-
on the west by Palma Sola Bay, and
-
on the south by Alhambra Drive south side.
Our winding streets showcase an impressive blend of classic and contemporary homes.

Many of Palma Sola Park’s original homes date back to the 1920's and 1930's.
The oldest homes are Spanish-style manors, with stucco and barrel-tile roofs.

Over the years, newer homes have joined the mix with styles ranging from single-story Florida ranch homes to elaborate contemporary waterfront mansions.

Palma Sola Park is served by Palma Sola Elementary School, King Middle School, and Manatee High School.
