Kevin Heisey

President

Kevin and his wife Elizabeth moved from Ohio to Palma Sola Park over 8 years ago. After raising 4 children and retiring from a 30-year electrical engineering career with Rockwell Automation, he is now working part-time teaching technical courses around the country for Rockwell.   Elizabeth is a Learning Resource instructor over at IMG Academy.

Kevin and Elizabeth are active in their church in West Bradenton and enjoy year-round running and biking in our gorgeous neighborhood.

Barbara Weimer

Secretary

Barbara was born in NY, raised in Mass., and after two years teaching in Montreal, returned to the Rochester area to teach for 32 more years. While visiting Bradenton one Christmas, her husband (already a snowbird) suggested they look at a house he had seen on Palma Sola Bay.

Barbara was adamant that their current situation was just fine but reluctantly agreed to see the house on Palma Sola Boulevard and immediately fell in love not only with the house but with the entire Park. Barbara moved full time to Palma Sola Park in 2010, loves its tree-lined streets, varied architecture, family atmosphere – and most of all the people of the neighborhood.

Mike Hoersting

Director

Kathy and I were married in 1973. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern Indiana in December 1985, took a position with a major regional CPA firm and earned my CPA certification in Kentucky in 1988. In 1997, I became the Controller for SCH Services, a design/build engineering firm specializing in coal transportation, handling and blending. I retired March 15th, 2018.

My grandparents purchased a duplex on Palma Sola Drive in 1952. My parents took over the home when they retired, and Kathy and I began visiting annually. As we neared retirement, we began looking at property and knew Palma Sola Park was where we wanted to live. In December of 2018 we purchased our home on Portosueno and have enjoyed watching the Manatees frolic in the boat basin ever since.

Jen graduated from Manatee High School in 2007 and attended Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers where she met her husband John.

Jen currently stays home to raise their daughter Taylor but has worked in the mental health field and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
